This Cookie Policy explains how Viewbox uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, and the equivalent storage we use in our mobile app.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They let a website remember your actions and preferences — such as staying signed in — so you don’t have to log in on every page.
2. How we use cookies on the website
Essential cookies: we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you securely signed in and to protect your session. These are set by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are required for the Service to work — without them you could not log in.
Preferences: we may store small settings, such as your light or dark theme choice, so the site remembers them between visits.
We do not use cookies to sell your data or to build advertising profiles.
3. The mobile app
The Viewbox app does not use browser cookies. Instead it stores similar information securely on your device — for example a login token to keep you signed in, your theme preference, and a push-notification token. This data stays on your device and is used only to run the app.
4. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to block them. Please note that if you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in to or use the website. In the app, clearing the app’s data or logging out removes stored login information.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. We will revise the effective date above when we do.
