Privacy Policy

Account & profile: your name, email address, WhatsApp number, and password (stored only as a secure hash). During registration you also provide your designation, medical college, state, district, and optionally your city.

Activity data: your exam attempts, answers, scores, credits, library submissions, and how you use features of the Service.

Payment information: any Pro fee is arranged and paid directly with our team outside the app (for example by UPI or bank transfer). We record only your Pro status and dates — we do not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank details.

Technical data: basic device and log information needed to operate and secure the Service, and — on the app — a push-notification token so we can send you notifications.

• To create and manage your account and verify your access against our community;
• To run exams, grading, the library, leaderboards, and credits;
• To provide Pro features and process subscriptions;
• To send you service messages and notifications you have opted into;
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and comply with law; and
• To improve and support the Service.

We process your information to provide the Service you have requested (performance of a contract), with your consent (for example, notifications), to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Viewbox, under appropriate safeguards:

• Supabase — our database, authentication, and image storage provider;
• Google Firebase — push notifications;

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service. Administrators can view profile details (including your WhatsApp number) to approve accounts and grade exams.

Passwords are stored as secure hashes, connections are encrypted in transit, and access to your data is restricted by row-level security so users can only see what they are permitted to. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account, after which we will remove or anonymise your personal data except where we must retain it by law.

You can access and update most of your details from your profile in the app or on the website. Subject to applicable law, you may also ask us to correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to withdraw consent for optional processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Viewbox is intended for medical professionals and trainees aged 18 or older. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Our service providers may process and store data on servers located in other countries. Where this happens, we rely on providers that offer appropriate protection for your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you of significant changes.

If you have a concern about how your personal data is handled, or wish to exercise your rights (access, correction, or erasure of your data, or withdrawal of consent), you may contact our Grievance Officer:

We aim to acknowledge grievances within 72 hours and resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to register a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
